What we use

Two categories: technical cookies that the site cannot function without, and analytics that only run after you give explicit consent. We do not use advertising cookies and do not share data with third-party advertisers.

Technical (always active)

These are first-party cookies and localStorage entries we set ourselves on the rag-enterprise.com domain. Lifespan: from one browsing session up to one year.

• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers your language preference (en / it). 1 year.
• theme — light, dark or system theme choice. 1 year.
• stit-cookie-consent — your cookie preferences. 1 year, re-asked when our policy version changes.

Analytics (Matomo on analytics.i3k.dev)

Self-hosted Matomo instance on EU infrastructure. Page views are collected in aggregate from the first request, with IP addresses anonymised (last octet dropped) and no cross-site identifiers. This is the analytics-exempt pattern recommended by CNIL and accepted by the Garante: no personal data is processed, so explicit consent is not required for the measurement itself. What does require consent is writing analytics cookies — used only to recognise a returning visitor across sessions. The tracker boots with requireCookieConsent, so those cookies are written only after you click Accept.

• _pk_id.* — visitor identifier (random). 13 months if you opt in, otherwise never written.
• _pk_ses.* — session marker. 30 minutes if you opt in.
• MATOMO_SESSID — server-side cookie consent marker. 1 year.

What we never use

Advertising cookies, third-party ad networks, social-media tracking pixels, fingerprinting, cross-device matching, or any service hosted outside the European Union for the request path.

How to change your choice

Open the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, or clear the stit-cookie-consent entry in your browser localStorage. Refusing analytics never breaks the site.
